This privacy policy sets out how Boundless Theatre uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Boundless Theatre may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 7th April 2022.

Here at Boundless Theatre, we are committed to protecting your personal information and making every effort to ensure that your personal information is processed in a fair, open and transparent manner.

When you visit our website:

  • This could be if you ask us about our activities, register with us for training or an event, submit a script, ask a question about our activities, make a donation to us, purchase anything directly from us, apply for a job or volunteering opportunity or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
  • When you join the Boundless Drama Club by completing a membership registration form.
  • This includes when you phone us, visit our website, or get in touch through the post, or in person or make a purchase from us directly.

When you interact with us through third parties:

  • This could be if you interact with a third party such as Just Giving, a theatre venue or one of the other third parties that we work with and provide your consent for your personal information to be shared with us.

In running and maintaining our website we may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information provided voluntarily by you for example when you sign up to our mailing list or join the Boundless Drama Club, complete an online script submission form or feedback form, which may include

If you are registering for an event, purchasing anything directly from us or making a donation, personal information we may collect includes:

  • If relevant to provide a service or complete a transaction we may ask for your date of birth and other relevant information.

For equal opportunities monitoring when recruiting or taking part in our activities we may collect anonymous data about gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and access requirements.

Why we use it

We use the information that we collect from you to provide our services to you and to improve the services that we provide. We may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:

  • Internal record keeping
  • To provide information to you that you request from us relating to our products or services.
  • If you have given consent to join our mailing list and receive regular communications we may periodically send promotional emails about new productions, special offers or other information or productions which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided (see ‘Marketing’ section below)
  • To inform you of any changes to our website, services or goods and products.
  • To process your donations or other payments, to claim Gift Aid on your donations and verify any financial transactions.
  • To update you with important administrative messages about an event or services or goods you have requested.

We include some links to third parties on this website, for instance to venues or box office sites, or fundraising sites such as Just Giving. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question before sending them any personal data.

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in the circumstances detailed below:

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

Keeping your information safe

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. By signing up to our mailing list you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy (https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/) and Terms (https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/). We make sure that they store the data securely, delete it when they no longer need it and never use it for any other purposes.

We use GoodCRM as our CRM platform. By becoming a member of the Boundless Drama Club you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to GoodCRM for processing. You are able to edit the information you share with us and delete your profile should you wish to no longer remain a member of the Boundless Drama Club.

We do our upmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated stored securely. Unfortunately the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically, sending such information is entirely at your own risk.

We will never sell or share your personal information with organisations so that they can contact you for any marketing activities. Nor do we sell any information about your web browsing activity.

How long we hold your information for

We only keep it as long as is reasonable and necessary for the relevant activity, which may be to fulfil statutory obligations (for example, the collection of Gift Aid).

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
